Friesian Mare For Sale « Thread Started on Jun 18, 2008, 9:57am »
Name: Riot Breed: Friesian Height: 15.3 hh Gender: Female Color: Black with hints of chestnut.
Conformation description: Her coat is short and clings to her body tightly with a shimmering black radiance. Her eyes are large, shining, and sly. Both her mane and tail contain a fair amount of wave and body and hang far past her haunches and her neck. Upon the lower area of the leg, she has an amazing amount of feathering for her breed. Her ears are smaller and constantly pricked in a symbolic gesture of curiosity and a desire for knowledge. In the right lighting, one can see the glimmer of reddish chestnut glistening in the contours of her muscular body.
Temperament/Personality: As if to contradict her pleasing appearance and gender, the mare is the poster child of defiance. Blame her young age, perhaps, but she is determined to make you sweat. Equid wit and charisma are her strong points, while perhaps she lacks in charm, she will make up for it in confidence and a blunt refusal. At times she will be easy to get along with, and others she will present you with the typical aggression. She has soft spots for certain things (don’t all horses?) but it will be very difficult to discover what those things are. If you're up for a challenge and breaking a horse mentally, she's the one for you.
Training: Started in: Dressage, driving, hunting, jumping, steeplechasing, and pleasure riding. She is by no means adequately trained in most of them. She is most experienced in pleasure riding, steeplechasing, and dressage. If one could tame her fiery personality, she would be an excellent all-around horse.
History: A typical story: the freisian mare was purchased for a young girl by her wealthy and doting father. The daughter, being spoiled and stereotypically demanding, demanded her horse be purebred, beautiful, and trained. Riot was a mare they purchased from a breeder, and she was hastily trained for a variety of sports... Just in case their daughter decided to engage in that activity. After impressing a few friends with her black beauty, and their parents discovering that their daughter had no interests in the mare after a few months... She was off to auction.

Scott
Scott walked around looking for a horse that he could call his own. A small bald sales representative followed him around like a real estate agent, his nasally voice filled Scott’s ears as he named off what each horse could do and where they came from. He said nothing about temperament and personality, the things that really mattered to him. He wanted to know if he could work with the horse he was buying. In other words he was not one of those that bought a horse, broke it in and just sold it, that wasn’t him. Auburn eyes, scanned stalls searching for one horse that gave off the appearance that it needed help in some way. Blue jeans covered muddied black boots, shirt fit him nicely showing off the muscles he gained from lifting hay. He had only recently gained the cowboy look, having moved to his second cousins ranch. Riding western was new to him too, he was not great at it but if that was the only saddle that the future horse to be knew he decided he could learn more. His back pocket sort of bulked out with the imprint of a wad of cash. He would not tell where he received his money, only that he earned it.
((Sorry I didn't know how to go about buying a horse with a character....So I decided what better way than to rp it?))
